2019 Exceeded Expectations... 2020 Will Be Greater... With YOU on Board

100% success in angling merit badge completion at ISR in 2019 surprised everyone.  The CAI program was one of many positive influences that came together to bring those happy Scouts their badges.  Now you can be part of this fast-growing, winning program.  JOIN OUR TEAM!

2019 proved our inspired, dedicated, YPT-trained veteran, CAI faculty will ignite your desire to introduce Scouts and Scouters to the wonderful world of fishing and fly fishing.  You will leave with the knowledge, tools, network, and confidence to get Scouts out on the water and catching fish!

A Boy's Life recent survey found that Scouts chose fishing as the fourth most preferred outdoor activity, yet only 35% go fishing within Scouting.  Share your passion for fishing, become a role model for Scouts and help them make good decisions in angling and in life.  Become a fishing advocate - you will be glad you did SIGN UP NOW!

Course Highlights

  1. Become recognized as a BSA Certified Angling Instructor, and Official Train the Trainer Certification CS-61
  2. Receive a CAI patch and certificate
  3. Learn basic fishing and fly-fishing skills - including casting, knot and fly tying, and how to teach them.
