Ideas for activities to do year round at ISR: Fishing There is no charge for Scout Groups to fish on Lake Roberts. Bring your own equipment or borrow some of camps at Greg's Fish Shack! A Boy's Life recent survey found that Scouts chose fishing as the fourth most preferred activity, yet only 35% go fishing with in Scouting. Lake Roberts is a "fish factory" producing way above average number of fish for a lake its size. Hike the Cedar Creek Trail The Cedar Creek Trail is a trail system that loops around the entire camp. Whether your just want to go on a day hike or practice backpacking for a Philmont Trek, the Cedar Creek Trail has diferent length loops availabe suitable for all ages. Boyce Climbing and Shooting Committees plan Climbing and Shooting Days in the Spring and Fall every year at ISR. Scout BSA Troops and Venture Crews come out to ISR to Climb, Shoot, or Both! Space is limited at each day so make your reservations early! Reservations must be made 2 weeks prior to the event. Make it a full weekend with your unit by camping out at ISR by filling out a Camp Use Form! 2021 Troop Climbing and Shooting Dates: March 20, April 24, May 22, August 21, September 18, October 16 Mountain Bikes Scout BSA Troops are able to rent the camp's Mountain Bikes to go trail riding. Participants must have a current BSA Medical Form parts A & B and watch a safety video before coming to camp. Bikes will be availble from 8:30am until 30 minutes before sunset.
