2020 Ingersoll Primitive Camping

ISR Primitive Camping is for Units and Families to come out to and camp at ISR, spend some time outside, and get a chance to enjoy the wilderness of Ingersoll!  

Ingersoll Scout Reservation will have 6 campsites open throught out the months of July and August.  A Limit of 10 people can come out in each campsite.    

  • Arrowhead
  • Gunflint
  • Illini
  • Musket
  • Sauk
  • Winnebago

Stay for one night or seven! 

When: Anytime from July 1st - August 31st 

Cost: $30 per campsite per night - - Max of 10 people per campsite.

What are some activities you can do?

While Primitive Camping, units are to run their own programs, but the W. D. Boyce Outdoor Program Committe has worked to make programs availble for Scout BSA participants to particiate in while promitive camping this summer.  Click here to view the full details of all the programs, session times, and availability for 2020 Primitive Camping Programs.  

Here is a quick look at programs and dates:

Climbing and Zipline $10 per climber per session July 11, 12, 25, 26 & August 18, 19 - (weekdays may be requested - must be 2 weeks in advance)
Shooting Sports $5 per person per session plus ammo cost July 11, 12, 25, 26 & August 18, 19
Swimming in the Pool $12 per swimmer per session Any day between July 6 - 26 (must be requested a week in advance)
Canoe and Kayak on Lake Roberts $5 per boat for full day Any Day in July or August
Mountain Bikes $100 for 10 bikes for full day Any Day in July or August
Fishing on Lake Roberts or the Cedar Creek Free Any Day 
Hiking the Cedar Creek Trail Free Any Day
Craft Items (Baskery, Wood Carving, or Leather Working Projects) See full detail program sheet Any Day

Policies for 2020 ISR Primitive Camping

  • Limit of 10 people per campsite
  • Must follow BSA Youth Protection Policies
  • Must follow the Ingersoll Scout Reservation General Policies for use of Camp.  Found Here
  • Before arriving to ISR, all participants must follow the BSA Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist (COVID-19 version).  Found Here
  • All Participants in camp must have Parts A and B of the BSA Annual Health and Medical Record completely filled out at camp.  If staying for longer than 72 hours then parts then Parts A, B, and C need to be completely filled out. Find the BSA Health Form here
  • The cost is $30 per campsite per night.
  • Platform Tents and Cots will not be available to use, groups will need to provide their own tents.
