2020 Heartland Cub Scout Launch 

When: Saturday, September 26th

Where: Sommer Farm- Edwards, IL

This year there will only be an archery and rocket launching station. Each Scout will receive a take home Bobcat activity. All ages can participate in archery.

Before entering the park, you will be required to have  a no touch temperature scan and answer a COVID-19 questionnaire. If anyone in your vehicle has a fever of over 100.4 degrees or fails the COVID19 questionnaire then the whole car will be denied entry to the event. DO NOT come to the event if you or anyone in your household has a fever, sore throat, cough, body aches, loss of taste or smell, headache or if you do not feel well. DO NOT come to the event if you have been exposed to someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

**BUILD YOUR ROCKET PRIOR TO COMING TO LAUNCH!**

Health Forms are REQUIRED! Parts A & B of the BSA Health and Medical Record along with a copy of the Scout's insurance card must be brought to the event with your Scout. This form can be found here: https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_ABC.pdf.

The Health Form can be filled out by a parent or guardian. Scouts will not be allowed to participate in the activities unless they turn in a copy of this form at registration. It is suggested that you fill one out and make copies to turn in at council events. You may pick up your Health Form at the end of the event. All left over Health Forms are destroyed after events. 

Important Notes: Adult Supervision is expected during this event. Lions (Kindergarten) and Tigers (1st grade) MUST have an adult partner accompany them throughout the entire event. If you choose to send your Bear, Wolf, or Webelos Scout with a friend or with their pack, make sure there is adequate adult supervision.

Cancellation Policy
Refund request for emergencies beyond your control will be reviewed by the Volunteer Outdoor Program Committee after the Recruitment Season. All such requests are subject to a 15% service charge. All program fees collected on-site are non-refundable. You must submit a refund request form found on our website or call the office. Refund request forms received less than 7 days prior to the start of the event will not be considered. The transfer of fees to another Scout for the same program will be considered. Call the Boy Scout Service Center at (309) 673-6136.
