Scouting Steam, a partner of Building Steam, is a ten week program where participants are broken out into small running groups based on their experience, speed, and ability. Over the ten weeks it is the goal of the group to achieve the distance of 3-4-miles as well as a comfortable running pace for each individual. This program is designed to help Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, Parents, and Adult Volunteers in Fitness, Friendship, and Fun as well as prepare the participants for the 4-mile Steamboat Classic race (Peoria, IL) held in June.
Scouting Steam is an opportunity for Boy Scouts, Venturers, and Explorers to work toward their personal fitness merit badge, or preparing for Philmont High Adventure, or just for a fun healthy activity by working on increasing the speed and distance, push-ups, sit-ups, and a stretch test to see how they improve.
Participating in Scouting Steam, you will receive:

- 25 mile Rockers
Each participant (youth or adult) must have a current Annual Health and Medical Record (parts A, B, and C)
