University of Scouting

University of Scouting will be held virtually on November 14th.  

You can pick your schedule from the course catalog to learn and bring new ideas to your home unit.  Classes are instructed by experienced Scouters selected for their knowledge, enthusiasm, and presentation skills.

Fall Induction Weekend

Due to restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and concern for the health and safety of our members, Wenasa Quenhotan will NOT hold a Fall Fellowship for the general membership the weekend of October 2-4, but will be hosting an Induction Weekend only for Ordeal, Brotherhood, and Vigil candidates.  

Registration for the Fall Induction Weekend ends September 18th.  No registrations will be accepted after the 18th and no walk-ins will be able to participate in the Induction Weekend.

Silver Beaver Award Nominations - Due November 1st

The Silver Beaver Award

The Silver Beaver Award is to recognize registered Scouters of exceptional character who have provided distinguished service within the council.  Anyone may nominate any deserving registered Scouter to the council, which selects recipients for the following year to be recognized at the Council Dinner.

Filled out nomination forms should be sent into either Peoria or Bloomington Scout Service Centers before November 1.

Scout BSA & Venture - - Social Safety Health Award - this award was designed to help scouts understand the government agencies and the reasoning behind their actions.  This course is designed for youth in 6-12 grades.  Complete the award online at learn.troop19.com and login as a guest.
