COVID-19 - - Unit Resources

Units can hold in person meetings and events but there are a couple of guidelines that should be thought about as the Unit Leader plans the event.

  1. Units must follow all State and Local guidelines for Social Distancing: you can find the State Guidelines at the Illinois Department of Health website here
  2. The Charter Organization for the Unit must approve of the event for the Unit.  It is always good to talk to you Charter Organization Rep. so the know what the Unit is up too.
  3. If not meeting at the Charter Organization, the location of the meeting or event need to be ok with it as well.

Here are some resources that are help as planning a Unit event or activity:

If you have any questions about running an in person Unit event or meeting reach out to your District Executive or contact the Peoria or Bloomington Scout Service Centers.

Wenasa Quenhotan News

Due to restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and concern for the health and safety of our members, Wenasa Quenhotan will NOT hold a Fall Fellowship for the general membership the weekend of October 2-4.

Instead, the lodge is offering a Fall Induction Weekend ONLY for Ordeal candidates, Brotherhood-eligible members and Vigil Candidates.  The goal is to allow as many candidates as possible to complete inductions while maintaining restrictions on group size, social distancing and other provisions for reducing spread of the virus.

For more information and registration for the Fall Induction Weekends go to the Wenasa Quenhotan website by clicking here.

BALOO Training

Cub Scout Leaders:

Is your Pack planning on camping?  Who are your trained leaders?  Will they be moving on to Scouts BSA in the spring?  How many BALOO trained leaders do you have?  You need at least one BALOO trained leader to take your Pack camping.  Two is better and three is event better!

Two different BALOO training happening this fall for all Cub Scout Leaders to participate.
